  • City of Melbourne – Economic Development Strategy

    Challenge: Melbourne needed a clear strategy to recover from the pandemic and position itself for long-term growth.
    What we did: Econovation led the development of a comprehensive strategy, shaping priorities across innovation, talent, activation, competitiveness and liveability.

  • Geelong – Investment Prospectus (ongoing)

  • Winchelsea – Town Centre Study

    Challenge: Winchelsea’s town centre faced pressure to balance small-town character with growth opportunities.
    What we did: Econovation led economic development analysis to guide town centre development, with a focus on retail, services and placemaking.
    Outcome: The study provides direction for council and community, ensuring growth supports local needs while strengthening regional links.

  • Loddon Mallee – International Engagement Framework (ongoing)

    Challenge: The Loddon Mallee region needed a coordinated approach to international engagement to support trade, investment and partnerships.
    What we did: Econovation has been working with stakeholders to design a framework aligning regional strengths with global opportunities.
    Outcome: The framework will help the region build stronger international connections and attract new opportunities.

  • Advanced Energy Tech – Circular Economy Waste Facility (Bendigo)

    Challenge: Advanced Energy Technology sought to establish an advanced waste facility diverting more than 95% of waste from landfill, making extensive use of robotics and AI.
    What we did: Econovation supported discussions with council and government and positioned the project in a regional economic development context to secure customers and funding.
    Outcome: The project is emerging as a model for circular economy innovation with strong potential for regional scaling.

  • City of Adelaide – Christmas Festival Evaluation Framework

    Challenge: Adelaide wanted to understand the impact of its Christmas Festival on the local economy and community.
    What we did: Econovation developed a framework to measure outcomes, including visitation, spending and community engagement.
    Outcome: The framework enables Adelaide to evaluate impact consistently, inform decision-making and strengthen future events.
